Jim was born in Michigan and then moved to Pennsylvania and then Ohio.  While in Ohio Jim attended Ohio State University, met his wife Judy and began working for General Motors as a design engineer.  

Several years after the birth of their first daughter Jim and his family moved to Detroit, Mi where their second daughter was born and Jim became the Chief Engineer of a major automation and tooling company.  While in this position Jim realized that while managing an engineering group was very rewarding it was even more rewarding to work with customers listen to what their needs were and then engineer a solution to fill those needs and sell that solution to them.

In 1991 Jim and Judy heard about Tellico Village at a boat show and shortly after made a visit to the Village and purchased our first property in Tanasi Coves on the lake.  It was great adventure since we had to drive our truck through the woods to look at property as the roads were not cut through yet.  For thirteen years they spent every available moment in the Village watching it grow and exploring the lake with a boat that they kept in dry storage at a local marina.  With every visit it was harder and harder for them to return to Detroit.

Both of Jim and Judy's daughters had moved to other parts of the country so when Judy retired they moved to Kahite the next day where they had built a new home on the golf course. 

Long before moving to Kahite Jim had realized how happy people were that lived here and that there was a great opportunity to help others find that same happiness by starting another carrier in real estate. 

After several years Jim can say that in spite of the hard work Real Estate is one of the most rewarding jobs that I have had.
